Some paths begin with a calling. This Tarot began with a journey to Avalon.

A Tarot of Inner Connection

Some Tarot decks arise from an idea. Others arise from a deep inner connection.

The Elements Symbolic Tarot – The Fountains of Avalon emerged from visions, inner images, and a relationship to symbols, elements, and the mystical world of Avalon that grew over many years.

It combines the classic Tarot structure with its own symbolic imagery – inspired by archetypal forces, elemental energies, and personal experiences.

This deck is part of my Tarot line Elements Symbolic Tarot, which has developed step by step over the years.

 

The Creation of the Elements Symbolic Tarot

The foundation of this deck arose from the desire to create a Tarot that is clear, intuitive, and symbolically understandable.

The first version of the Elements Symbolic Tarot was deliberately purist in design. The cards consisted mainly of symbols, lines, and elements – reduced to the essential.

In doing so, I oriented myself to the proven structure of the classic Smith-Waite Tarot, with which many people are familiar. Thus, the Tarot remained easily accessible and intuitively readable, while at the same time developing its own symbolic language.

The elements Earth, Water, Air, and Fire were central from the very beginning.

 

The Further Development of the Tarot Line

Over time, this original idea developed into an entire Tarot series.

The Elements Symbolic Tarot was later also interpreted in a further design – in the Fairyland Soul Spirit Design. This version remained strongly symbolic but received a new visual atmosphere and a deeper, more mystical imagery.

The basic idea always remained the same: a Tarot that is based on the classic structure and at the same time carries its own symbolic language.

 

The Encounter with Avalon

Many years ago, my path first led me to England – to some of the spiritual places of this land. After Stonehenge, I arrived in Avalon in Glastonbury.

As I walked up the Tor and stood barefoot on this sacred hill, something happened that can hardly be put into words. It was a deep resonance – a mix of remembrance, joy, and an inexplicable familiarity. Since that moment, a special connection to Avalon has accompanied me.

During several journeys and spiritual stays, this connection deepened more and more – especially at the sacred springs of Chalice Well. For me, Avalon is not just a place of history, but a space of inner memory and spiritual depth.

The images of this deck arose from precisely these impressions.

 

The Call to Create a New Deck

During one of these journeys, a new intuition arose: To make the energy of Avalon visible in a Tarot deck. Gradually, images began to form.
Scenes, encounters, and landscapes from Avalon transformed into Tarot images.

Thus, a new expansion of my Tarot line was finally created: The Elements Symbolic Tarot – The Fountains of Avalon.

 

The Journey of the Novice

This Tarot consciously follows the classic structure of the Major and Minor Arcana. But within this structure, its own path unfolds. The Major Arcana describes a cyclical journey of experience.

It begins with 0 – The Novice, the entry into the circle.

The Novice stands at the transition between the known and the unknown.
She embodies openness, curiosity, and the freedom to embark on a new path. No goal has yet been set – all possibilities are present. In the course of the journey through the Major Arcana, she encounters the archetypal forces of life: challenges, insights, transformations, and growth.

At the end of this path, she reappears in XXI – The World.

There she is no longer the same as at the beginning – and yet she is. The experiences of the journey have changed, expanded, and matured her. Thus, the circle closes.

The Novice and the World are two manifestations of the same journey –
the beginning and the completion of a cycle. And like any circle, this one can also be re-entered at any time.

Symbolism, Elements, and Avalon

The imagery of this deck combines three central levels:

- the classic Tarot structure

- the symbolism of the elements

- the mystical atmosphere of Avalon

The scenes were inspired by impressions I experienced during my stays in Avalon. The images take up familiar Tarot motifs, but interpret them in a new environment – a world shaped by the mystical energy of Avalon.

A Tarot from Inner Experience

This deck did not arise from theoretical knowledge.

It grew from personal experiences, inner images, and a deep connection to a place that has accompanied me for many years.

The Fountains of Avalon symbolically represent this inspiration.
