A Tarot born from visions, inner images, and a connection to symbols, elements, and the mystical world of Avalon that has grown over years.

The Elements Symbolic Tarot – The Fountains of Avalon combines the classic structure of Tarot with its own symbolic imagery. Inspired by archetypal forms, elemental forces, and personal experiences, a deck emerged that not only wants to be read but experienced.

The cards open a space where symbolism, intuition, and personal resonance interact.

A Tarot between tradition and personal symbolism

This deck consciously follows the classic Tarot structure with 22 Major and 56 Minor Arcana and is based on the well-known Smith-Waite system in its basic assignments.

At the same time, it unfolds its own visual world. The cards are not intended as a rigid system of interpretation, but as living symbols whose meaning unfolds in dialogue with the observer.

This creates a Tarot that feels familiar yet opens up new perspectives.

The World of Avalon

The images of this deck are inspired by the mystical landscape of Avalon and the spiritual sites around Glastonbury.

Avalon appears here not as a historical legend, but as a space of consciousness – a source of memory, inner knowledge, and transformation. Many scenes take up classic Tarot motifs but interpret them in a new environment – a world full of symbolic gates, landscapes, and transitions.

The Journey of the Novice

The Major Arcana of this deck unfolds as a cyclical path.

It begins with 0 – The Novice and culminates in XXI – The World.

The Novice stands at the threshold between the known and the unknown.
She embodies the entry into the circle – the beginning of an inner or outer cycle. No goal has yet been set. All possibilities exist, but are not yet bound. Curiosity, intuition, and trust guide the first step.

At the end of this path stands The World, representing the completion of a cycle and the integration of experiences gained. The circle closes – and can be re-entered at any time.

Thus, this Tarot describes not just a path, but a living developmental cycle of experience.

Symbolism of the Elements

The four elements form a central basis of this deck: Fire – Water – Air – Earth

They represent fundamental areas of human experience and consciousness. In the cards, they are clearly depicted and follow an alchemical symbolic language, in which forces and processes become visibly condensed.

This symbolism serves as guidance and deepening when reading the cards, without restricting personal perception.

Additional elements in the set

This deck also contains a small set of symbolic element symbols. The five elements of the pentagram – Ether, Fire, Air, Water, and Earth – are included with the deck in the form of small energetic symbols.

The elements are in a small pouch and can be used for example for:

• Rituals and meditations
• working with the elements
• altars or energetic alignments

The symbols were specially designed for this deck and produced with 3D printing. They are deliberately kept small and serve as symbolic companions for working with the Elements Symbolic Tarot.
